GivingGod gives all of us the great privilege of partnering with Him in what He wants to do in the world. Zion Baptist Church is committed to reaching those who do not know God, through showing great compassion to a broken world, and turning us into increasingly devoted followers of Christ. We do this with a full commitment to bring the message of hope and love that comes only through Jesus Christ. “But just as you excel in everything –- in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us – see that you also excel in this grace of giving” 2 Corinthians 8:7 (NIV)
Giving Options As you tithe and contribute to the Zion Baptist Church, consider the convenient options available. - Sunday Services: Simply place cash or checks in offering plate during either of our services. Be sure to include name and address on check or envelope in order to receive credit for tax purposes.
- By Mail: You can mail your donation to the following address. Zion Baptist Church, 8158 Hwy. 351, Henderson, KY 42420. Be sure to include name and address on check or envelope so that donation credit may be provided for tax purposes.
- Online Giving: Online giving allows for a specific dollar amount to be automatically deducted from a checking account, savings account, or credit card. You can set this up as a one-time or recurring gift. Online giving is not only easy, but safe and secure.
Important Note: After careful consideration Zion Baptist Church has decided to accept tithe/donations by credit card. The concern was that although many people pay their credit cards off each month, many also struggle in this area. We did not want to create the potential of putting someone in the position of going into debt and paying interest on gifts given to the church. At the same time we know that many people today pay all of their bills by credit card and would like to use credit cards to pay their tithe, in order to take advantage of benefits. Please, only use this method of payment if you have the ability to pay off your credit card at the end of each month.
- Stocks and Mutual Funds: You will receive a tax deduction for the fair market value of your securities at the time of donation, and you will pay no capital gains tax on the difference between your cost and the fair market value. Please have your broker contact Zion Baptist Church at (270)826-4952 for instructions on where and how to transfer the gift. Please contact the church if you have specific request on how you would like the gift to be applied.

Journey to Tomorrow (JTT) In 2004 Zion Baptist Church stepped out in faith doubling their space. This debt needs to be retired and we encourage every member to prayerfully consider giving to JTT on a regular basis. To do so is very simple. All you must do is indicate either on your tithe envelope or on your check that your gift is for JTT and it will be designated as such.
Giving StatementsAll donations made to Zion Baptist Church are held in the strictest confidence. Statements of Contributions are mailed in January (for the prior calendar year). Interim statements are mailed quarterly of activity in order to provide updates to individual donors. If you have moved recently, please complete a change of address form at (coming soon).
Financial Accountability“We want to avoid any criticism of the way we administer this liberal gift. For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of men.” 2 Corinthians 8:20-21 (NIV) Zion Baptist Church is committed to honoring God’s provision by exercising wise and faithful stewardship, ethical business practices, and full accountability to ensure the financial integrity of Zion Baptist Church remains above reproach. We accomplish this through a system of internal controls and an internal budgeting and reporting process.
